Ngorongoro crater Day Trip
Description
Program Highlights
The Ngorongoro Crater is only a small portion of a broader region of interconnected ecosystems that includes wider areas of plains shrub and woodland as well as the crater highlands, to which the Ngorongoro Crater belongs. The extent of the Ngorongoro Conservation extent is approximately 8300 sq km. The Olduvai Gorge, which lies close to its center, is where many fossils have been found. One of Africa’s most well-known locations for wildlife viewing is the Ngorongoro Crater. One of the biggest calderas in the world, the crater is roughly 20 kilometers wide. Its boundaries are home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including woods, grasslands, wetlands, salt pans, freshwater lakes, and abundant wildlife. Rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, Thomson’s gazelles, zebras, reedbucks, and other animals are among the species discovered.
