An amazing way to experience real Africa is with a day excursion to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is a pristine paradise made up of groundwater lakes that are abundant with life and nourished by subterranean springs.
One of the best places in Africa to go birdwatching, it’s also a great site to observe some of the continent’s most recognizable creatures, like the enormous elephants and cape buffalo as well as the well-known lions that live in the park and scale trees.

Day to Day Description
After breakfast, we will depart Arusha or Moshi with a packed lunch and travel to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, boasts gorgeous and varied scenery. We will have a picnic lunch in the beautiful park, which includes Lake Manyara Park, which is often overlooked but is game-rich and best known for its tree-climbing lions and greater flamingos. We will have time for a full-day game drive, followed by an evening drive back to Arusha for accommodation.
The estimated driving distance to Lake Manyara is three hours.
