Tarangire National Park Day Trip
Description
Program Highlights
Tarangire is the least frequented park on Tanzania’s northern circuit, which is a tragedy. The park’s high elephant population, distinctive Baobab trees, and diverse fauna make it one of the best places in the country to take spectacular images or simply enjoy the splendor of the world’s largest land mammals.
Game drives through Tarangire are most exhilarating during the dry season, when the park’s animals must cluster closer to the Tarangire River. This is an excellent opportunity to watch a variety of species in one location and observe the predator-prey connection in action.

Day to Day Description
Safari & Holiday Makers guides will collect you up from your hotel or Kilimanjaro airport in the morning and transport you to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch boxes. Upon arrival, begin with mid-morning game drives and a picnic lunch. Continue the afternoon till 1600hrs, then return to Arusha Town. Upon arrival, you are dropped off at your hotel.
Tarangire is a picturesque location that wraps around the Tarangire River to the south-east of Lake Manyara. Tarangire boasts one of the highest densities of wildlife among the country’s national parks. Large herds of zebras, wildebeests, elephants, elands, smaller kudus, gazelles, giraffes, waterbucks, impalas, and, on rare occasions, leopards and rhinos can be spotted all year. Tarangire is also part of a larger ecosystem in which animals can roam freely.
